The return of the Glen Affric Duathon after a 6 year break
Added on 20 March 2015
After a break of six years the Glen Affric Duathlon returns for 2015. Staged within the Glen Affric Nature Reserve - often described as Scotland's most beautiful glen - the event will have the same format as was so successful between 2005 & 2009. Again this is a run/bike/run event that is suitable for everyone. Not only will the experienced, even elite athlete find it challenging, but the environment also makes it a very rewarding experience for novices. All levels are encouraged to enter. The course for 2015 will be the same as that when the event was last held in 2009 with circular routes for the three sections. A great warm up if you're taking part in the Highland Cross the following month!
The event will be a more social occasion with a post event Family Ceilidh Dance in Cannich Village Hall on the Saturday evening. Competitors, family & friends, supporters, locals and visitors in general will all be welcome and hopefully make the weekend a wee bit special.
Number of entries are limited to 250 due to limited parking availability.
PLEASE NOTE THE BIKE SECTION IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ROAD BIKES.
