New women's course record for the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon

A new women's course record was set for the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon on Sunday.

Megan Crawford, of Fife AC, completed the run in two hours 46 minutes and 37 seconds.

The men's event was won by Salford's Kenyan athlete Tarus Elly, who finished in 2:27:21. It was the first time either athlete had entered the marathon.

More than 9,000 people took part in the marathon and the festival of running.
